MAKING DEMOCRACY WORK

The League invites you and your organizations to become partners in the 
project to make democracy work better in Montgomery County.  We assure you 
that every little bit helps.

The goals of the project are very simple and very big:
--Every citizen registered to vote.
--Every registered voter an informed voter.
--Every registered voter casts a ballot.

You can take information from this website and publish it in the 
newsletter of your club, civic association, and church.  See.  Almost all 
the work is already done for you.

You can encourage your organization to register as a partner in 
Making Democracy Work (MDW).  Then you can determine an appropriate niche for 
yourselves or ask the League what you can do to promote any or all of the 
three goals.

You can call the League office at 301-984-9585 to request a copy of 
the description of the entire MDW project and the partner registration form.

You can put your cynicism and apathy into mothballs for this entire election 
   season.
You can tell everyone that democracy works only when citizens work at it.
You can ask everyone to register in a party and vote in the primary to ensure
   the best candidates for the general election.
You can make a difference--a big difference--an important difference.
